Abstract

Social media and niche markets go together like tea and crumpets in today's world.  Whether it be a small topic such as tea or a large multinational firm, brands are fighting for spots on any popular online community that they can. Reaching a new audience has never been easier with the rise of social websites such as Facebook and Twitter as well as the immense blogging communities seen on the web today.  With these tools, one can easily build their own brand by interacting with niche markets and become a trusted name within their specific area of interest. This talk will focus on my own personal experience with the Tea Community, on Twitter, and other "Web 2.0" tools.
