Summary of Research Interests

As an experimental computer scientist, the goal of my research is to design, implement, and evaluate techniques and software tools that support the creation of dependable and efficient software applications. This research addresses the challenges within the fields of software engineering, software testing and analysis, and computer systems. My research is empirical in nature because it involves the application of the scientific method to formulate problem statements, carry out experiments, take observations, perform detailed statistical analysis of data sets, and draw conclusions based upon the experimental results. Each research project focuses on the development of computational artifacts that can be used by undergraduate and graduate students, software engineering practitioners, and other computer scientists in both academia and industry. Please refer to the Research site for more details about my research projects and the deliverables that my students and I have produced.
